Pick-up from Haridwar Railway Station / Airport; drive to Barkot / Jankichatti (190 km / 6–7 hrs). En route visit Kempty Fall with Himalayan views of Bandar Punch. Dinner and overnight at Barkot.
Early breakfast. Start a 6 km trek to Yamunotri (walking, mule or palki at your own expense). Holy dip at natural hot water spring; cook rice in Surya Kund as prasadam. Puja at Yamunotri temple. Trek back; overnight at Barkot.
After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi (123 km / 5–6 hrs). Visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Rest and refresh at the hotel.
Early breakfast (or packed), drive to Gangotri (200 km / 7 hrs). En route, holy dip at Gangnani Kund hot spring; enjoy Harshil Village, Bhagirathi River and Lanka Bridge. Puja and darshan at Gangotri. Return to Uttarkashi.
After breakfast, leave for Phata (200 km / 7 hrs). En route visit Guptkashi Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva — "Hidden Benares," associated with the Pandavas' search for Shiva. Overnight at Phata.
Early breakfast, drive to Sonprayag; local jeep to Gaurikund; trek 22 km to Kedarnath (or pony/doli/helicopter charter from Phata). Evening Sankaracharya Samadhi & Kedarnath aarti. Basic accommodation.
Early morning temple darshan. After breakfast, trek down 22 km to Gaurikund (1.5 hrs). Jeep back to Sonprayag; transfer to Phata. Overnight at Phata.
After breakfast, drive to Badrinath (165 km / 6 hrs). En route Narshing Temple & Sankracharya Math at Joshimath. Evening aarti at Badrinath. Overnight.
Early Tapt Kund bath; Badrinath temple darshan. Mana Village, Ganesh Gufa, Vyas Gufa, Saraswati River, Bheem Pul. Drive to Rudraprayag (160 km) via the four prayags.
After breakfast, drive to Haridwar (155 km / 5–6 hrs) via Dhari Devi Temple and Devprayag Sangam. Drop at Haridwar station / airport.
